For Jonquil, I found this classic peplum dess from Ricielli. For those of you that may not have known, the peplum originated in ancient Greece as a loosely worn tunic and while it has changed form slightly, it’s style has endured through the centuries. Here are two great blogs, Couture Carrie and gchicnotes that have lots of great examples of peplums and some interesting history behind them. Ricielli’s mesh version features a sweetheart neckline and is very curve hugging 🙂 I paired it with black accessories, such as Ricielli’s Cowhide Black Leather tote bag (also mesh). Mood’s Dakhla Choker set and N-Core’s Emporium heels complete the outfit. My hair is D!iva’s, Sayaka2.

Hey guys….guess what…..I’m Baaacccckkkk!!!! Yay! Thank you to all of my loyal readers that kept checking in over the last couple months. I really appreciate that, it makes me feel good 🙂 Well, I have missed a total of 12 weeks of Luna’s challenge. Hopefully I will be able to get caught up. I am amazed at how much as changed over the last couple months. The SL fashion community is constantly changing and evolving and is abounding with creativity!!! Well for my first post back, I am going to feature some new mesh from Hucci and Mons‘ new skin, Jelena.
This week’s color is Persian Rose, which is essentially a deep, hot pink. While catching up on the SL Fashion scene, I of course had to check out Hucci. They have quite a bit of new mesh (which I love!) . I picked up this adorable Glimpse halter and Suede mini skirt. I am wearing both in wild pink, but they have a large variety of colors available. These were both relatively easy to fit too. I fit into the small skirt without any adjustments. My small boob shape was a bit too small for the small top, but a small increase fixed that (I wish my rl body came with sliders for adjustment!). The skin I am wearing is Mons‘ newest release, Jelena. I have never purchased a skin from Mons before, but I was looking for something a little different. I tend to get stuck on my favs, Dream Ink, Pink Fuel, Glam Affair, etc. Change is good 🙂 I really like the face and body shading on this skin. It is very subtle and natural looking. I also like the makeup. I tend to favor darker, more dramatic eye makeup and Mons has a HUGE variety! I am wearing the tan version of the skin and it came with several different makeups, 2 brow options (I am wearing natural) and a cleavage option. I did purchase this lipstick separately from the basic skin pack. It was in the Dominant pack. These photos below have not been edited, other than to be cropped and a small amount of liquify to fix pointy elbows. My hair is from Catwa, my earrings are from glow, my rings are from Dark Mouse, my tattoo is from Chelle, and my nails are from Love Soul.

Well, I normally have my 52 Weeks of Color post done every Saturday evening, but I had to go see Nickleback instead 🙂 I am a huge, huge Nickleback fan and it was my first time seeing them in concert! It was a great concert! Unfortunately, since then, my two daughters and I have been fighting colds all week 😦 I did find time to hunt down my Bright Turquoise outfit though, and I must say I really, really like the outfit I found. It is Linda from Purple Moon. I love the bright pattern and the full, flirty skirt of the dress. With it, I am wearing a ruffled bolero sweater from G Field, The Pearl Rain jewelry set from Mandala, my hair is Britney from Catwa, and my makeup is Sparkle Mardi Gras from Chelle. Happy shopping every one!
I must say, I found this color to be the easiest one yet! I had quite a few items in my inventory that matched. I settled on this pretty lace dress from Mimikri, called Suza. My jewelry is the Siddean Dark Garnet set from Mood. My eye shadow and lipstain are from Chelle. My hair is from Catwa. Sorry to be abrupt, but the Easter Bunny (me) still has eggs and baskets to fill LOL. Have a Happy Easter everyone!
Well, here is my Royal Purple…I found this color to be really, really hard! However, I do love the shirt I found. It is an oldie that was in my inventory, from the long defunct, Pixeldolls. My pants are Chain and Vine’s new mesh leather pants. My hair is one of Truth’s newest releases, Auralee. It is a partial mesh style, but I didn’t like the mesh portion that went over the shoulders because it didn’t actually lie on my shoulders. So, I just left it off. My earrings, rings, and nails are from Mandala. My shoes are from N-core. Have a good week everyone!!
Ooooo Lala! This is the newest lingerie set from Taste, Absoution. It is very sexy! It comes in 7 different colors, and comes with the fur bolero, thong, and pasties 🙂 If you haven’t been by Taste yet, they have some very pretty lingerie that is reasonably priced!
My hair is from Elikatira, my skin is from Al Vulo, my lipstick and eye liner is from Chelle, my jewelry is from Alienbear.
Well, I didn’t find this week’s color, particularly difficult, however photographing it turned out to be the challenging part of this blog. My hard drive died not long ago, and I have a brand new computer and I am using the new Exodus viewer, both of which are making my life a little difficult LOL. Since I have my new computer and have started using Exodus, it is much easier for me to wear mesh now and I love it!!!! This dress is Fling from Chain and Vine. If you haven’t visited Chain and Vine, they have some very nice mesh pieces. My hair is Eva from Catwa, my skin is Lyra from Dream Ink, my jewelry is the Lia Crystal set from EarthStones, my eyeliner and eyeshadow are from Chelle. My shoes are from G Field. I am done traveling for a while and my computer is fixed, so I will be blogging more! Have a good week everyone!
