For Jonquil, I found this classic peplum dess from Ricielli. For those of you that may not have known, the peplum originated in ancient Greece as a loosely worn tunic and while it has changed form slightly, it’s style has endured through the centuries. Here are two great blogs, Couture Carrie and gchicnotes that have lots of great examples of peplums and some interesting history behind them. Ricielli’s mesh version features a sweetheart neckline and is very curve hugging 🙂 I paired it with black accessories, such as Ricielli’s Cowhide Black Leather tote bag (also mesh). Mood’s Dakhla Choker set and N-Core’s Emporium heels complete the outfit. My hair is D!iva’s, Sayaka2.
Happy Shopping ❤
Well, I normally have my 52 Weeks of Color post done every Saturday evening, but I had to go see Nickleback instead 🙂 I am a huge, huge Nickleback fan and it was my first time seeing them in concert! It was a great concert! Unfortunately, since then, my two daughters and I have been fighting colds all week 😦 I did find time to hunt down my Bright Turquoise outfit though, and I must say I really, really like the outfit I found. It is Linda from Purple Moon. I love the bright pattern and the full, flirty skirt of the dress. With it, I am wearing a ruffled bolero sweater from G Field, The Pearl Rain jewelry set from Mandala, my hair is Britney from Catwa, and my makeup is Sparkle Mardi Gras from Chelle. Happy shopping every one!
Alexandre has just released a new dress called Mood. It has a full, ballerina style skirt, a ruched bodice, and a standup collar attached by two beautiful rosettes. I am showing you Mood in Bronze, but it also comes in Plum and Bluete. My hair is from ploom, my skin is from YS&YS and my jewelry is from Zuri’s.
Its week 3 already! So far I am enjoying the challenge and I am determined to not get behind. I was thrilled to find this very pretty dress in my inventory. It is one of Jasilyn Amiot’s creations, Jazzy’s Midnight Blue, that she designed for her store, Jazzy’s Elite Designs. She may call it Midnight Blue, but I consider it Indigo 🙂 My jewelry is Nova from Gems & Kisses. My hair is Gina from Fab-U-Lous and my skin is Al Vulo’s Polly skin in cacoa. This picture was taken in my garden and my windlight settings are Bree’s Appleblossom.
For this week’s 52 Weeks of Color Challenge, I found an adorable, vintage looking satin dress at Fishy Strawberry. It is the perfect shade of coral! I matched it with a vintage gold chain necklace from [glow]. Since it is winter in Ohio (my rl home), my coral dress felt a little summery. So, I headed to GField to look for a sweater. I was not disappointed! I found this adorable, ruffled bolero in ivory. I also found the perfect pair of coral heels and coordinating leg warmers! What a perfect shopping day! My winter skybox is from Magic Nook, my setee is from Awesome Blossom (closing on Jan 15th so having a 50% off sale right now!!), my hair is from D!va, my eyes are Bubblegum from Aphotic Gloom. My skin is Polly from Al Vulo, which I blogged here. My lipstain is from CheLLe.
Luna Jubilee has decided to continue her blog challenge, 52 Weeks of Color! The first color for 2012 is Champagne…a perfect color to start a new year! Here is my Champagne outfit…My dress is from R.icielli and is on sale right now at The Dressing Room. My jacket is from Aoharu. My jewelry is from Mandala, and my hair is from ploom.
